At Black Wall Street Historical Society, our mission is to sponsor, create, and promote educational and cultural exhibits, videos, activities and educational materials that recognize, preserves and promotes the history of Blacks in Tulsa, and Oklahoma.
As stewards of our history, we value honesty, transparency, trust, creativity, innovation, commitment, courage, love and authenticity. Our values are at the core of who we are and what we do.
We are launching our organization by creating a space that will allow us to reconnect to our resilient roots. Our community garden and sanctuary encourage us to tune in with our ancestral knowledge of growing and harvesting. It also serves as a place of healing from historical trauma through the practice of decolonized methods of healing, wellness, and restoration.
We believe in community. We hope to unite community members, organizations, businesses and educational institutions to invest in learning our history and healing from that same history.
Rediscover the healing power of nature and discover a community space that nurtures health and wellness at Black Wall Street Historical Society's Garden and Sanctuary.
